About
My name is Vedica Bhasin. I was raised in New Delhi, India, where I completed my schooling before embarking on an academic journey in the United States. I pursued my undergraduate studies within a liberal arts setting at Smith College, immersing myself in disciplines as varied as South Asian studies, economics, and pre-medicine—each offering a unique lens through which to understand the human experience.

Drawn by a desire to bridge science and nourishment, I earned my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition at Columbia University in New York. I am now in the final year of medical school, where my days are devoted to the practice and study of healthcare—a lifelong calling that continues to deepen with every patient and page. I will be applying for residency training this year, ready to step into the next chapter of medical service and scholarship.

Beyond academia, I am nourished by the arts and the natural world. I find joy in reading South Asian literature, singing Indian classical music, and wandering through the wild beauty of national parks across the globe. I hold a deep affection for animals and a resolute commitment to advancing mental health infrastructure in India—a cause that remains close to both my roots and my heart.
